Beyond Words Distribution as North American DVD Distributor for Everest: A Climb for Peace

I am very proud to announce that Beyond Words Distribution will be the exclusive North American DVD distributor for my film, Everest: A Climb for Peace. Beyond Words Distribution is the sister company for Beyond Words, a small book publishing company near Portland, Oregon with several giant hits. With over 7 million books and 2 million DVDs sold, The Secret has opened many doors for Beyond Words. Their latest hit, Spiritual Liberation by Michael Beckwith, is about to take off as he will be appearing on Oprah soon.
What this means for my film is that the DVD will finally be available for a much wider audience. Up until now it has only been available on my Web site (www.EverestPeaceProject.org) and on Amazon.com - USA. This will soon change as my film will be available at various large brick and mortar bookstores like Barnes and Noble and many other retail places along with Amazon.com and Netflix and iTunes. It will take several weeks to get it thru the various sales hurdles, but then it should be available in the US and Canada everywhere! - I am obviously very excited about this.
“Why has it taken so long to get the film a DVD distributor” is a question that I have heard a lot. Well, the reason is that I was waiting for the right distribution company to make this happen. I just did not want to be the flavor of the month, or in some cases, the flavor of the week or the day as I would have been with a large distribution company or with a company that does not care about my film. But with Beyond Words Distribution I really feel that my film has found a great home and that it is in exceptional hands. Brian, the sales manager at Beyond Words Distribution, has already watched the film three times (and counting); he is extremely passionate about getting it out to the world. And when you have people who are passionate about your work, that can really make a big difference, not only in sales, but in making the film a success in every regard.
Beyond Words and Beyond Words Distribution only take on several books and films a year and so I am very honored to have my film be a part of their catalog.
