Award, Review, and upcoming event
By Lance Trumbull | April 23, 2008
Hi Everyone,
Yesterday was a good day; I got confirmation that we won a Gold REMI award at the Houston WorldFest Film Festival. This is of course, nice - as it is always great to be appreciated and noticed for your hard work and so I am very happy about the award.
We also got a nice review from an adventure site called The Adventurist http://thehendricksreport.wordpress.com/ - a great relatively new adventure site which has excellent and well written articles - and along with www.Mounteverest.net should be added to as a great source of adventure news. To see the review you can go here: http://thehendricksreport.wordpress.com/2008/04/22/everest-a-climb-for-peace-an-adventurist-film-review/.
Again, it is wonderful to be recognized not only by awards but by the words of critics and everyday viewers of the film.
Coming up next: I will be speaking and screening Everest: A Climb for Peace at the Tibetan Community Center here in Portland, Oregon this Saturday. It should be great to be around lots of smiling Tibetans and Sherpas. It will also be a charity event.
