Project Overview:

Our Peace Climbs will include experienced mountain climbers from many different faiths and cultures across the world. And although we will celebrate our diversity and our differences, these events will focus on our commonality. We will climb together not as individuals who belong only to this or that nation or faith, but as a team who all share a common home: the earth. By bringing people together from different cultures we will be setting an inspirational example of courage, friendship and teamwork - and through our Peace Climbs show the world that people from various faiths can live together, work together, and depend on each other while doing something extraordinary: climbing mountains in the name of Peace.

We are also dedicated to establish a lasting legacy of education by helping build at least 1 school and 2 libraries for children in Nepal. We have helped fund two libraries (see video) - help us fund a school! This will be accomplished through our educational partner Room to Read. (Room to Read has built over 4000 libraries and schools in Asia.)

Kids for Peace:

Maya in NepalThrough the example of Friendship and International Cooperation - our Climb for Peace is promoting a Global Community of Peace that strives for peace and compassion. From the top of some of the highest places in the world, we are sending our message of peace to the rest of the globe- especially to our most precious resource: Our Children.

To get Kids involved in our Climb for Peace we have developed several programs: an Essay for Peace contest, an Educational Program developed for teachers, and Peace Events for Kids.

7 Summits for Peace:

Our Next Peace Climb - Mt. KilimanjaroThe Everest Peace Project is not a single event limited to our Everest Climb for Peace. It is an ongoing Peace Project that will be doing many future events and climbs over the next many years. In fact, we will be having peace climbs across the world on the "7 Summits" - the highest mountains on each continent. In 2005 we had a success Climb for Peace of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. In 2006 we made world history and summited 10 people on Mt. Everest. Through our climbs and through our educational partners we will be bringing the message of peace and education to the children and adults of the various countries that we visit and indeed to the entire world.
