New EPP Library for Kids in Nepal - Update.

We are very happy and proud to share the overview and some wonderful new pictures of the second library / Reading Room that The Everest Peace Project helped fund last year.





Name of the School: Shree Janakalyan Secondary School
Location: In the Lumbini area in Dudharakshya Village which is about 23 kilometers from Butwal in central, southern Nepal.

Number of villages served: 6
Number of households served: 600
Total population or area served: 4000
Students served 800

The Reading Room established in this school is located in two rooms on the first floor of the main building. One of the rooms is used for books and the other is for a Reading Room. The room sizes are 23 x 18 ft. Each wall of the library is cheerfully painted a different color and the floors are carpeted.

Our educational partner and the organization that helped make this happen is Room to Read - www.RoomtoRead.org - an incredible non-profit that has now helped build / fund 442 schools and over 5100 bilingual libaries!
